Today, myself and Ministry of Labour officials accompanied by police officers from the Malawi police service visited Bakelines Company in Kanengo. Our visit came after receiving complaints of abuses and violations done to some workers by their seniors. In our mandate as Ministry of Labour we are there to protect the Labour force and it is from this background we did a surprise visit to investigate the matter.
