Yesterday, Myself, Officials from my ministry and the Teveta Malawi Board had an interface meeting with His Right Honourable Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima the Vice President of Malawi on Reforms Progress Reviews for the Technical Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training Authority. As a ministry we are mandated to make sure that the skills developed under the TEVET Authority are relevant skills needed for the development of our industries and the economy as a whole. Technical skills are pivotal to the industrialisation and prosperity of this country. And if we are to achieve the Malawi 2063 our technical colleges should produce what the economy needs and also be innovative enough to develop new industries.
