Today I was joined by Hon. Nancy Tembo for the official opening ceremony of the Meeting of SADC Ministers of Employment and Labour and Social Partners. Leading the team, we visited all pavilions of our hardworking SMES appreciating different products on the market. It was amazing to note that most of the SMEs were led or founded by the youth and women which to me is very encouraging. We also took time to enjoy traditional dances performed by our cultural group. Though we are Ministers from different countries, we are unified by the spirit of “Umunthu”.We hope that this meeting helps us -as policy makers and leaders- to develop strategies that will develop our Labour force, give it tenacity to contribute to the development of our respective countries as well as the SADC region.
