Yesterday I arrived in Zomba with the team and officials from the Ministry of Labour for a two day visit. We were hosted by the Zomba Labour offices and we took time appreciate the work being done and also set aside time to have side meetings with Labour stakeholders.
Together with officials from the Ministry of Labour we also had an interactive session with the commissioner and directors of National Statistics Office. This meeting was critical for both entities to come up with the best ways data can be collected and presented in the Labour Market. I was pleased and happy by the cooperative spirit shown to us by the Commissioner and National Statistics Office team.
Moving forward such collaborative work is what will help the government achieve its goals of Malawi 2063 and build a better future for its citizens..
