I welcomed His Excellency Dr Lazarus Chakwera the President of Malawi to join the March to Upper Stadium in Mzuzu City. His excellency appreciated pavilions of different entrepreneurs, employers and statutory corporations showcasing what they are doing in terms of employees’ welfare at the workplace. His excellency expressed excitement when he saw a lady who was a vegetable seller owning a business in plumbing after being trained in the Tevet system. The theme for this year’s Labour Day is Workers Right a Prerequisite for inclusive Development .”
